Vacancy for part time administrator/receptionist

Tuesdays and Thursdays 9.00 – 5.00 + Occasional Sat/Sun or Evening

Tasks will generally be confined to normal office hours, but from time-to-time, acting as receptionist for an event at a weekend and an evening may be necessary.

Job purpose:

To provide administrative support and ensure the efficient running of the business.

Job content:

(1)   To handle as appropriate and as requested incoming communications through telephone, mail and electronic mail, ensuring at all times that sensitive and confidential issues are handled in an appropriate manner.

(2)   To welcome visitors and assist with general enquiries, contributing to a positive internal and external image of the Clinic.

(3)   To assist in the production of documents including those related to promotional work both at the Clinic and at our Health and Lifestyle store.

(4)   To handle financial transactions in respect of sales, and for ordering goods as required.

(5)   To assist with general administration support.

(6)   To order stationery and supplies, ensuring a stock of consumables is available

(7)   To manage diaries, including the booking of rooms.


Personal specification:

·         Knowledge of administration within a higher education or similar environment.

·         Good IT skills with competence in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products.

·         Excellent communication skills, including good reception skills and telephone manner.

·         The ability to deal easily and confidently with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
