Cancer Support

We have been working in conjunction with Cancer Active to install a ‘Catherine Corner’ in our shop. Cancer Active are the UK’s leading holistic cancer information charity. We had a fundraising day in July 2009 and the ‘corner’ was launched in September 2009.

This free resource provides well researched, unbiased information on alternative, complementary and orthodox treatments for people with cancer and their families, in order to give them the best possible chances of recovery. The information provided includes general dietary information and also information and research specific to each type of cancer and the treatments available.

Feel free to come into the shop, sit in our comfortable corner, browse through the library of books and ICON (Integrated Cancer and Oncology News, published by Cancer Active) magazines, and the Cancer Active website. Information can be printed off and taken away free of charge.

We are on hand to talk, to help you find the information relevant to you, and to offer a cup of tea!
